Uganda is a Malaria endemic country, therefore we strongly advise the use of Malaria prophylaxis. Malaria prophylaxis are not dangerous. By not taking properly prescribed prophylaxis, the risk of Malaria is extremely high, and the disease can be fatal. Our doctors can advise on the best prophylaxis as recommendations differ from person to person.
Sexual Health
We offer complete screening for men and women. Regular sexual screening is advised for everyone who is sexually active. We strongly recommend HIV and other sexually transmitted diseases (STD) testing before any type of sexual contact. We have a 24 hour testing service and offer post exposure prophylaxis (PEP) should this be necessary. PEP and emergency contraception can only be given within 72 hours after exposure. The best advice for protection against STD’s and HIV is to always use a condom.
